The Grub House is a half-acre urban homestead in the heart of suburbia. Our homestead began five years ago when we planted our first six fruit trees. We are currently home to a large garden, 10 fruit trees, 10 chickens, two French Angora rabbits, three frogs, one toad, two guinea pigs, a tank of tadpoles, two bee hives full of busy bees, and a Labrador Retriever named Bridget. The kids have requested a cow on several occasions, however, we have yet to figure out how to fit one in the back of our van.
Our vision for The Grub House is to provide premium Angora fiber, honey, and our newest venture, simple handmade soaps.
The Grub House is run by Mathew and Heather and our small team of adorable children, ages 10, 8, 5, 3 years and one on the way. We have big dreams of buying an acreage and building, but we are perfectly content for now.
